Reiki Healing

What to Expect During a Reiki Session

Before session begins practitioner will ask you what areas of concern you may want to address and any other questions you may have. You will be asked if you prefer a hand on or hands off session.

Reiki sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes. A session can be in person or distant.  Distant meaning “not  present”. You will spend entire session on a treatment table that looks like a massage table. You will be offered an eye pillow or a bolster pillow to enhance relaxation. Extra enhancements may include sound, crystal and or aromatherapy. If you prefer a session can be offered while sitting in a comfortable chair instead of lying on the table. For a distant session the recipient will receive a long distance treatment depending on where the recipient is located at a decided time of session.

It is recommended you wear loose comfortable clothing. You will first be lying on your back then on your stomach then finish session on your back.  During the session the practitioner will be placing their hands lightly in a series of non invasive hand positions on the body. If it is decided a hands off approach will be used the practitioner will be using their hands a few inches above the body.

After session is over it is recommended to rest for a few hours and hydrate well.
